Prayer Requests
- Relationships - Nothing moves ahead in Africa without first building a relationship of trust. We need wisdom, sensitivity,
insight, and love. Pray the Lord's favor upon us as we start to develop these relationships, both personal and professional.
- Language - While our language study was intense and excellent, our learning has really just begun. Language is an
essential key to every aspect of what we will do, and we must learn and adapt to this new culture along with all of its
different expressions and subtleties. pray for a quickening of our minds and loosening of our tongues to "catch on"
linguistically, as well as Holy Spirit boldness and clarity to speak the Truth of the Gospel.
- Family - Another major transition is before our family, and uprooting from the familiar is hard. We are excited to
finally arrive in Angola, but we need the Lord's grace in great measure during this time of adjustment. Pray for physical
safety, good health, and for our children - friendships, schooling, language, and spiritual formation. Pray that when fears
arise they will be replaced with peace, and that the joy of the Lord will daily be our strength.
