We recently took over Children's Ministries at Khartoum Christian Center which has a Friday English service, a Sunday Arabic
service, and other programs during the week. It has been fun to have regular "hands on" ministry to the kids. Heidi oversaw
the Easter program and I (Chris) have begun working with the Sunday School teachers who work with the kids during the Arabic
service.
The Lord is faithful to unfold His plan for reaching kids, even when we don't see all of the details that happen during our
two terms in Zambia. When God began to burden our hearts for the Sudan towards the beginning of our second term, I wondered
who would carry on training in Children's ministry if we left...God knows what He is doing, and as a result, a number of people
are carrying on the work in Zambia. I am equally confident that in our simple beginnings of Children's Ministry training
here in Sudan that God knows what He is doing here too. They are simple beginnings. Not too many people are "jumping up and
down" or "doing flips" because Children's Ministries training has come to town. But, there are a few who are starting to "get
it". We are praying for more leaders to "get it" when it comes to "training children in the way they should go" and to
"letting the little children come to Jesus without hindering them". Will you pray with us? God knows the needs in Sudan. He
knows who is out there with a heart for reaching and teaching kids. We are praying and looking for who to invest in.
Please continue to pray with us as we minister to children and to those who would teach and lead them.
